Triathlon is a sporting event that comprises of three events which are swimming, cycling and running.For his sport needs a great physical preparation to face athlete in 3 different events- swimming, cycling, and running. Triathlon sees the endurance, speed and strength of the athlete by those three events. When an athlete moves from one routine to another, it is called transition. It a time based event, so the athlete who completes the three events in less becomes the winner.

 It is considered that this sporting event began in Hawaii in 1985 due a bet between sailors. But some Triathlon historian says that it all began at France in 1920-1930.And a 1920 French newspaper L'Auto reported a event named Les Trois sport which has 3 km running, 12 km bicycling and crossing of Mane channel. There is also a 1934 article which signifies of a race by swimming, cycling from La Rochelle to Andre Barbeau stadium. However America claim for inventing this modern game. 

 When you search for events of Triathlon you will find many but the most famous one is Ironman which consist of  3800 m of swimming followed by 180 km of cycling and then 41 km of running. But it varies in different tournament, like:

  • Olympic triathlon - 1500 m of swimming, 40 km of cycling and 10 km of running.
  • Sprint - 750 m of swimming, then cycling of 20 km and 5 km of running.
  • Half Ironman or Ironman 70.3 - 1900 m of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21 km of running.
 The above are few of the several triathlons that took place in world, but the most critical tournament is Ironman nature Championship Hawaii, its stage of cycling covers hundred of miles above lava and temp temperature above 43 degree Celsius and sometime a crosswinds of about 90 km/hour.
